Scrubs - What's that then?

Scrubs was an emmy award winning TV show that ran for eight seasons between 2001 - 2009, along with a short-lived spin-off series called "Scrubs Med School". It followed the career of a doctor through the eyes of the young medical Dr John Dorian (Zach Braff) from his first day as a student intern at Sacred Heart Hospital through the many trials and tribulations of success and failure doctors fail, both professionally and in their personal lives.

We watched as "J.D", (John Dorian's nickname) grows from a clueless newbie, to a competent doctor, after being taken under the wing of his senior Dr Cox (John C. McGinley). "J.D"'s best friend, Chris Turk (Donald Faison) is also interning at the same hospital, and their existing bond forms a closer manlove relationship.

The narcissistic Dr Cox is the senior doctor who is quite possibly the most respected doctor in the hospital and is in a continual clash with the Chief of Medicine, "Dr Kelso" (Ken Jenkins) with Cox fighting for patient's rights versus Kelso's opinion of patients should be milked for money to keep the hospital open.

The "will-they, won't they" relationship for "J.D" is provided by Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), who, throughout the seasons moves closer to him, while, there's certainly no doubt about the relationship between Turk and Carla (Judy Reyes) after they date from early in the first season.

Wow, without giving anything away, that was the hardest description to provide! Scrubs has a succinct plot line, and despite the many writers and directors who have taken the lead, has always left its viewers wanting more.
